Despite its name, Vancouver Golf Club is actually located in Coquitlam, BC, a 30-minute drive from the centre of Vancouver. It is a private club with members-only access to its 18-hole course and it was founded in 1910. Vancouver Golf Club has a strict dress code, as is usual with membership-based private clubs.

Vancouver Golf Club focuses on men's and women's championships. Nonetheless, there are various types of membership available, some with less weight on play. Some membership types are: Full Play, Modified Play but also Junior, Social, Dining, etc.

The Club has practice facilities and a golf shop.
